Janet Campbell , Chairman and CEO
Biographies
Janet Campbell, Chairman and CEO, is a co-founder of Seno Medical Instruments, Inc. Previously she served as President and Chief Operating Officer of InforMedix, Inc. Ms. Campbell is a successful entrepreneur in the medical device area. She held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Mach Diagnostics, a venture backed medical company focused on rapid diagnostics, where she raised two rounds of capital, and developed an organization that included 40 sales representatives and a nationwide distributor network. She was the founder and President of Health Tech, Inc., a cardiovascular technology company, where she negotiated multi-million dollar licensing and joint venture agreements involving Fortune 500 and early-stage bioscience companies. Ms. Campbell was the health care partner of Rockecharlie & Co., a Houston investment-banking firm. She has extensive venture capital experience, having been key consultant to a variety of venture capital funds including the Woodlands Venture Fund (now the Woodlands/Essex Fund), Vanguard Ventures, and the Susquehanna Group. Ms. Campbell was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vascular Genetics, Inc., representing Human Genome Sciences. Ms. Campbell received her BA from the University of Missouri, and was honored as alumni of the year in 2005. She received her MBA in finance from The Johns Hopkins University. Ron Branstetter, President and COO is a co-founder of Seno Medical Instruments, Inc. Previously he was the president and COO of Colin Medical Instruments (CMI), a medical device company, where he held full responsibility for company performance. While leading CMI, he designed and commercialized four families of patient-monitoring products, set up and managed all manufacturing functions, including establishing GMP procedures, hosted FDA inspections and created the engineering department. Prior to Colin Medical, Mr. Branstetter was the manager of the bioengineering section of Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), San Antonio, TX, an independent, non-profit contract research and development organization with approximately 2,600 employees. At SRI he led the creation of system concepts and designs, and developed over a half dozen medical device products. Mr. Branstetter holds nine patents and is actively pursuing new patents for Seno Medical Instruments.
William F. Keane, M.D., Medical Director and CMO Prior to joining Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Keane worked with Merck & Co., Inc., as Vice President, Clinical Development and served as Vice President, U.S. Medical & Scientific Affairs from 2004 until his retirement in 2007. Dr. Keane’s responsibilities in the U.S. included post-registration clinical studies, data base analysis studies, external scientific collaborations and medical affairs. Dr. Keane, has had a distinguished medical career, serving as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Hennepin Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and as the Vice Chair and Professor of Medicine and Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota Medical School. William Keane received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. Barbara Lind, Vice President Corporate Development, has more than 20 years experience in strategic sales, marketing and new business development. She has developed strategies for new products and services, established sales relationships at the highest levels of corporations, and successfully worked with professional networks and focus groups to develop research agendas and launch new products. Lind oversees all Business Development and Marketing and Sales activities for Seno. She recently completed the first survey/focus group for the research instrument. Prior to joining Seno, she was President of the Hawthorne Group, a strategic consultancy working with organizations confronting significant growth or change, particularly in relation to sales, marketing and new business development. Ms. Lind was one of the founding management of Renaissance Strategy Group, which was taken pulic on NASDAQ. Lind an industrial psychologist, holds a BA from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and an MA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she also undertook her doctoral studies. Don Herzog, Director of Engineering, has extensive project management skills and expertise in diagnostic ultrasound, medical information systems, image management, recording, image processing, image printers, laser systems and electro-optics. He recently led the development of the first real-time, 4D Doppler-based diagnostic system for vascular application. This technology has been acquired by a West Coast company, where it is being used to develop a method for the non-invasive measurement of intracranial pressure. This company is a multi-billion dollar medical device company. Herzog was the individual at RCA responsible for inventing the optical recording and laser diodes as used in today’s CD’s and DVD’s, which was one of RCA’s most profitable patents. Herzog holds a B.S.E.E./M.S.E.E. in communications/controls from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. |
