Research Imaging Seno Medical’s first commercial product is a functional imaging device to address unmet needs of cancer researchers in small animal imaging. This device, which does not require FDA approval and will not be used for patient diagnosis has been licensed to a world market leader, VisualSonics of Toronto Canada.
Diagnostic Imaging Seno’s first clinical product targets breast cancer diagnosis and will be used as an adjunct to mammography, incorporating opto-acoustics and ultrasound. Current patient studies are under way to refine product design and define performance parameters. Seno Medical's system is an investigational device and is limited by US Federal law to investigational use only. Future Applications While the commercialization of Seno’s technology for both research and diagnostic devices is underway today, many other exciting applications lie in the future. These could include screening and treatment products for breast cancer care as well as research, diagnostic and treatment devices for other forms of cancer. |
