Clinical Application Specialist
Description
Seno Medical, a San Antonio based company, is seeking a Clinical Application Specialist to deliver clinical and operational expertise by providing excellent education and training support to end users with a new hybrid modality in breast imaging called the Imagio® Breast Imaging System which fuses opto-acoustic with ultrasound (OA/US). The clinical expert will facilitate evidence-based practice and support the customer experience and commercial teams from pre-sale through post implementation by providing effective outcome-based education and training solutions.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Provide product demonstrations to potential customers and clinical expertise in support sales activities.
- Provide initial device training to customers, clinical trial investigators and Seno Medical employees including system, functionality, and product updates.
- Provide continuing clinical and product support to the customer base and as needed or required by serving as the clinical support liaison and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on customer device training completion and outcomes capturing any customer feedback.
- Provide trouble-shooting, and operational assistance to Engineering.
- Provide technical product and image retrieval cataloging and presentation support as needed to the Chief Medical Officer, Marketing and in support of clinical trials.
- Learn and maintain expert level knowledge, operation, and application of the Imagio® Breast Imaging System and competitive devices.
- Assist in development and implementation of product demonstration strategies.
- Assist in developing training materials for classes and web based education seminars.
- Attend and support tradeshows and conferences as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Abide by the Code of Ethics, Scope of Practice, and Clinical Standards maintained by ultrasound professional societies.
- Have excellent communication skills, public speaking/teaching skills, organizational skills, and computer skills.
- Keep a professional friendly demeanor and positive attitude especially when receiving questions or objections.
- Carry an understanding of clinical education training and have the ability to train others.
- Be self-motivated to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of the field (competitive products), disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
- Have the ability to travel for clinical trial investigator training, customer training, trade show support, conference support, and sales support. Travel up to 80% mostly in the U.S.A. but could include international travel as required. You must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
- Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in cooperation with and with the guidance and direction of the Manager of Clinical Applications[TG1] .
- Must be customer oriented and highly motivated team player able to analyze complex problems and identify priorities and derive/decide the necessary action plans.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Nationally Credentialed (ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI) Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in any Diagnostic Medical Sonography sub-specialty with the additional requirement of obtaining the Breast credential within 6 months from the start of employment.
- Must maintain national sonography credentials.
- Knowledge of GE, Siemens, Philips, Hitachi and/or Toshiba ultrasound systems beneficial.

- Remote Home Office – must be located near a major metro airport. West USA preferred.

Product Applications
Seno’s first clinical product targets breast cancer diagnosis as an adjunct to screening mammography, incorporating opto-acoustics and ultrasound, providing clinicians more confidence in diagnosing malignant or benign masses. In 2021, the Imagio® Breast Imaging System (9005) received PMA approval from the FDA for commercial distribution in the U.S. and supplemental approval in 2022 after incorporating advanced ultrasound technology (9100). In Europe, Seno’s Imagio® Breast Imaging System (9005) received the CE Mark (April 2014).
